National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University was officially established in February 2021, completing the merger process. Currently, it has 9 campuses distributed across 5 counties and cities, with 20 colleges and approximately 20,000 students. The university is guided by five major development strategies: liberal arts education, international connections, digital transformation, industry-academia collaboration, and sustainable development, redefining the university’s role in the future. It focuses on understanding the impact of innovation on individuals and society, nurturing future talents, and establishing new industry-academia ecosystems.
The College of Nursing currently comprises three units: the Department of Nursing, the Institute of Clinical Nursing, and the Institute of Community Health Care. Since the academic year 2001, the College of Nursing has flourished, propelled by the influence of leading international universities, developing a diverse curriculum and embracing educational reform ideas, ushering in a new era for the College of Nursing.
